“It No Matta”

“It no matta”

My two year-old grandson has a saying when he breaks something or does some other damage  “it no matta, no matta grandma” he says as he looks up at me with those big, blue eyes of his, seriousness furrowing his little brow; “it no matta”.  “No Jakey,” I say, “it does matter.”  But his little voice keeps insisting that “it no matta” as he relentlessly works to convince me that I am wrong and he is right.  Brilliant comedian Bill Cosby once said regarding the persistence of children in wearing down their parents resolve that children know they are going to live longer than you!  So they keep it up…

Most of the time the thing that is broken is trivial, some trinket or other, now broken –  soon discarded, one less thing to pick up or dust or wash, but then one day it does matter, too many broken, discarded trinkets, too much laissez faire que sera sera.  Now something precious is gone and suddenly it does matter.  Why didn’t we teach respect for the seemingly trivial thing before we had to lament the loss of a precious thing?

In our spiritual walk have we become desensitized to the value of our relationship with our Creator/Savior to the point of responding with, “it “no matta” when we desecrate our bodies both internally and externally (are tattoos the warm-up to trans humanism?), when we allow our ear and eye gates to see and hear things that corrupt our soul, when the pursuit of money overrides the training up of our children, when for expediency’s sake we “shade” the truth.  What was once called moral irresponsibility is now called freedom to find oneself. What we now tolerate and even teach in our schools as “alternate lifestyles” was once considered disgusting and obscene.  Temporary fixes and feel-good religion have become the rule of the day.  Discipline is considered repression, depravity is now called creative self-expression, murder – a matter of choice, and adultery is sex between consenting adults.  What was wrong is called right and what is right is called wrong!  (Reference from Francine Rivers book, “…and the Shofar Blew”)  “It no matta!” is Laodicea in her finest hour!  The Adversary/Satan/The Devil is relentless in his assault; mind-numbing, accusing, controlling, degrading, convincing, manipulating his deceptive holograms of ‘sanity’.  “It no matta”, he has gotten the world to believe, because he’s going to live longer than you, he thinks.

He’s wrong.

As first-century believer’s in Y’Shua, the Rock on which our feet are firmly grounded, we walk hand in hand with our Savior/Redeemer in everlasting life right now!

Do you believe this?  If not, The Devil/Satan has deceived you into believing “it no matta” when it really should matter.

As I peruse the headlines and observe people on the streets and in the malls, as I listen to news commentators and scan the reality TV shows I am convinced that more and more people have bought the plate of goodies radio and television celebrities, sports stars, government officials, business tycoons, health care providers, mega-church ministries, social change engineers, community organizers and others have served up for their consumption. Everyone has an idea and their idea is better than your idea; if everyone would just get on board with ‘me’ we could change the world!  In my opinion they are all striving for the title of “God, Supreme Sovereign of Mankind”. If we follow them I believe we’ve bought into satan’s deception.  Y’Shua said He is the Good Shepherd, His sheep follow Him and Him alone!

But are we following Him or are we are reliving the time of the Biblical Judges where everyone did what seemed right in their own eyes.  What did that get them; nothing but hardship and bondage.

Luke 18:2-8  Y’Shua said to them, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man.  And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.'” And YHVH said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

There is a disturbing, albeit predictable trend in this fourth turning of the current saculem, (Reference “The Fourth Turning” by William Strauss and Neil Howe); an inordinate focus on speculation of end time possibilities.  Are we so busy trying to figure out how soon we’re going to get out of this mess called life on earth that we have taken on Jakey’s attitude, “it no matta”  when maybe some things really should matter?  Ah, but there’s the rub isn’t it – what is it that really matters?  There are so many false flags, it’s hard not to get stuck in at least one of them as they come swirling about your ankles trying to trip you up, whipping across your face in their effort to blind you, snapping in your ears as the winds of media rip them across the landscape of your life.  Whose voice are you really listening to anyway; YHVH’s or everyone else’s?

Are you a living stone or AWOL on the wall?  (See Ezekiel 22:30 and 1Peter 2:4-6 for reference.)

My suggestion:  Take a break from the television, the radio, the internet, the newspapers, the magazines – open your Bible and without opinions and preconceived ideas and theologies let YHVH’s Spirit talk to you.  Find out what His truth is; get on the narrow path and start walking.

When Y’Shua comes, will he find faith on earth?
