Our Mission
Shirley and Steve Rees

The Bible has been relegated to dry and dusty irrelevancy and/or become a fluid document shifting to meet the current cultural norms.

The collapse of Biblical moral values, the disintegration of the family unit, and the loss of integrity are all products of a society in which the Word of God has ceased being a standard for life.

Harp and Story — The Peregrinnatti, our mission is to bring Scripture to life and relevancy. Music is what feelings sound like. The harp expresses the emotion of the story planting life truths deep in the spirit.

Our prayer is that the truths we express in music and story telling grow and produce much good fruit to the Glory of the Kingdom of YHVH.

AMERICA’S 7000 TOUR 2020 A Compilation of Thoughts and Prayers as we Journeyed through 48 United States Capitals

 Announcing America’s 7000 Summer Tour

We are in a fight for the soul of America. The forces of darkness are intent on undermining the Judeo-Christian values of family, morality, and personal freedom upon which America is founded.
America’s 7000 Tour is calling those who are “sighing and crying” over the abominations being done in the land; to gather as a “Jehoshaphat” army and release in each state declarations of prophetic psalms, through warfare worship with dance, flags, and banners.
America was founded on Biblical principles. The time to WAKE UP and strengthen what remains and is about to die (Rev 3:2) is NOW!
Join us at your state capital for a “Jehoshaphat” time of prophetic declaration, and warfare worship with dance, flags, and banners.

America’s 7000 Tour Segment 1 — Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona

1. Mississippi — June 17

Prevailing dark spirit — Insignificant

We got to Smith Park, just across the road from the capitol building and it didn’t take more than a cursory glance to see that this is where homeless people like to hang out. One man asked us if we were bringing some “fun” to the park as we carried our instruments and sound equipment passed him. We told him we were coming to worship the Creator of Heaven and Earth. The pavilion wasn’t being used so we set up our sound equipment and began to worship. Steve was on the harp, a friend, Rachel, came with her flute and together they set the tone for the 3-hour set. Shirley opened her Bible and began reading passages from the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and passages from the Psalms. Theresa declared the majesty of Yahweh with the dance. As we worshipped the heat of the day softened and cooled and it became quite pleasant.

One of the men in the park joined in praising and proclaiming the goodness of Yahweh. Lauren, a friend of Rachel’s came and asked if we had any water as a lady at one of the tables was in need of a drink. We didn’t have an unused water bottle at the table so I passed off the request, but then this passage from Matthew 25 came to mind: “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’” I went to our truck and got my extra water bottle and brought it to her. She was so grateful! I asked her if there was anything else I could do for her. She told me she was hungry. I didn’t have any food with me, but I did have some money which I handed to her. Another man asked if he could sing Amazing Grace with us which he did with passion and conviction. We later discovered that he had recently come to Mississippi and was sleeping in the park because he couldn’t get an ID card due to a lack of funds. We really sensed the Holy Spirit saying to give him the money for an ID card and don’t worry about how he might use the money.

Lauren had some food in her car that she was taking to a homeless shelter, but decided to make it available for the needy before us. They gladly took her boxes of mac n cheese and cans of spaghetti and meatballs. It made us think that it might be a good idea to have some water bottles and cans of food available for any people in need at future events.

We pray that Yahweh let us be a part of that remnant bride that holds back the destructive spirits of fear and hatred.
Ephesians 6:12, 13, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

2. Arkansas, June 19

Prevailing dark spirit — Passivity

Arkansas is one of a handful of states that didn’t go full “lock-down” during the height of the COVID 19 “crisis”. As a result of this more reasonable approach, the people of Arkansas don’t seem to be too taken-up with the ramifications of the power grab that so many governors and mayors employed and are employing in their respective states. I suppose the Arkansas governor might have been feeling a bit left behind though, for the day before we set up for America’s 7000 event, we heard through several sources that the governor had issued an executive order that everyone must wear a face mask when in public. Half the people we saw were and the other half we saw weren’t — only God knows where this will lead!

It is “quiet and peaceful” here, but “quiet and peaceful” can be deceptive, often luring one into a false sense of safety.

Our experience at the Arkansas capitol was a beautiful and anointed time of worship, with much participation by those who joined us. The sweet fragrance of the Holy Spirit was present. Theresa, our dance and flag/banner leader was led to declare a prophetic act of casting our “fear in the fire.” Zach William’s song, FEAR, He is a Liar, was the background for this public demonstration of casting down the spirit of fear.

“Peace and quiet” is such a fragile thing. Fear and Hatred can and do quickly shatter “peace and quiet” when hurt and dismay are exacerbated by unmet expectations. Even in this “quiet and peaceful” corner of Arkansas dark spiritual forces are present, in more subtle ways perhaps, but nevertheless still at work. Generally speaking, things seem to be okay when everything is humming along according to plan but upset the plan and most seem to have no, or little idea of what to do, at the moment, when things get turned upside down to get them right again.

Arkansas brought to my mind the time of Noah. A conversation at that time might have gone something like this, “What do you mean about this thing you are building being a refuge from a coming flood? We don’t know what a flood is, never experienced this “rain” — water coming down from heaven as a flood. Our water comes up from the earth. Look at all this bounty. Look at my beautiful children. Sure, we have heard about some trouble spots, but it’s not affecting us. Stop being such a trouble maker, Noah!”

And the rains came down and the floods came up and everyone who wasn’t in the boat Noah built drowned.

When our “quiet and peaceful” lives are taken from us, let us be prepared, dressed in the armor of YHVH, to wield the Sword of His Spirit and the Shield of Faith with effectiveness!

We are a “Jehoshaphat” army on the march!

3. Louisiana, June 23

Prevailing dark spirit — Distraction

The day began with clear, blue skies, but by afternoon the storm clouds were gathering. We were going to be in Veterans Memorial Park but decided to relocate to the Louisiana State Museum’s outdoor, covered area. For the first hour it was just the three of us then Shannon, a local, joined us for the second and part of the third hour. We feel it’s important to have at least one resident come and represent their state as they are the “seed” for their state.
At the capitol in Louisiana, we saw ourselves as seed sowers praying that the seed sown grows and produces 30, 60, 100-fold harvest to the glory of the Kingdom of YHVH. As if to emphasize this perspective it started to rain. It takes rain to make things sprout and grow. We thought of the song, “Let It Rain”, and began to play and sing it — loud enough to be heard above the thunder and the torrential downpour.
Open the floodgates of Heaven.
Let it rain, let it rain.
Open the floodgates of Heaven. I feel the rains of Your Love,
Feel the winds of Your Spirit.
And now the heartbeat of Heaven,
let us hear. I feel the rains of Your Love,
Feel the winds of Your Spirit.
And now the heartbeat of Heaven,
let us hear. I feel the rains of Your Love,

Feel the winds of Your Spirit.
And now the heartbeat of Heaven,
let us hear.
It was like YHVH was saying to us, “I see you; I hear you and I AM with you to accomplish all that I set in your hearts to do.”

4. Texas, June 25

Prevailing dark spirit — Lethargy

When one thinks of Texas; cowboys, rugged individualism, people of integrity, friendly, give you the shirt off their back kind of folks, come to mind. Around twenty of these salt of the earth folks came to the capitol event in Austin. We weren’t able to have our worship/prayer event right at the capitol or even close to the capitol due to violence and threats of violence. Every entrance was blocked with chains and barriers and police with the Texas National Guard were patrolling all entrances. Theresa talked with one National Guardsman and he said that a group came by the day previous blowing shofars and shouting very unkind things at them.
We set up in Zilker Park and as we began to worship it soon became apparent that “Amalek” was manifesting as the spirits of apathy and lethargy. For an hour and a half, we battled through that spiritual sludge.
I could identify with the disciples of whom Yeshua said, “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Not saying that those who came were spiritually apathetic or lethargic, but those entities were working to keep us from entering in and definitely trying to stop what we had come to do. We continued to press in and finally, there was a breakthrough when
Steve explained the “sighing and crying” over the abominations being committed in the land from Ezekiel 9. Then Shirley invited people to come to the microphone and share what was causing them to “sigh and cry”.
The last hour was very powerful in the Spirit as one after another came to the microphone and poured out their heart to Yahweh concerning the abominations that were causing them to “sigh and cry”.
We ended our time with the worship song “Raise A Hallelujah” by Bethel Music.

5. New Mexico, July 3

Prevailing dark spirit — Rejection

We lived in northern New Mexico during the 1980s. Coming back to this state more than 30 years later we observed that not much seems to have changed, in the spiritual atmosphere that is. Coming into the state on Hwy’s 60/84 from Clovis up to Santa Rosa then onto I 40 to Albuquerque we were hit, smack in the face with an almost overwhelming sense of hopelessness, depression, rejection, inferiority all “masked” over by a fierce display of authoritarian control — which is for your own good — don’t ya know!
Flashing road signs told us that “Face Masks are Mandatory — Or Face a Fine” and “14 Day Quarantine Required for ALL Visitors”. The governor knows she can’t enforce these restrictions as the state legislature has not made her edicts law, but she is counting on public shaming to help her carry out her executive orders. A friend of ours was harassed in Costco by a lady following her and her children throughout the store, snapping pictures of them and yelling at them for not caring enough to keep herself and others “safe”.

Her children were masked and she had a mask, but due to breathing issues, she wore her mask beneath her nose. What, as a people of a “free” nation, have we come to when whether you wear a mask or don’t wear a mask causes people to treat each other with irrational fear and hatred? Have we not yet come to realize that we are being controlled in order to achieve a specific outcome? (Forgive me, I wander from the purpose of this post!)

There were 17 of us that went up the mountain behind Santa Fe to Little Tesuque Picnic Ground to worship, pray, declare Psalms, and dance with flags and banners. The fresh mountain air, the tall pines, the quaking aspens all did so much to lighten our hearts, soothe our minds, and refresh our spirits. We danced and sang and flagged and prayed through much of Isaiah and the Psalms, giving special attention to Psalms 7,10, 27, 28, and 30.
We were led, once again, to play Zach Williams’s song, FEAR, He is a Liar”. At the end of the song, Theresa laid her fire flags down and invited everyone to write their fear on a slip of paper, and then all those slips were destroyed. Fear, you have no hold on me, for YHVHYeshua is my Rock and my Redeemer!
We celebrated the beginning of Shabbat and then drove down the mountain, back into the valley, to continue Yahweh’s work of ministering on the everyday streets among the everyday people doing everyday things.
ABBA, may we be Your hands and feet among Your people!

6. Arizona, July 6

Prevailing dark spirit — Nonchalant

As we drove south on I 17 from Flagstaff toward Phoenix we watched the truck temperature gauge climb steadily until it reached 112 degrees. We pulled into the Leaf Verde RV Park in Buckeye, got the trailer settled, and then headed for the park pool. Wow! Was that water a sweet relief from the heat of the day!
By 8:00 on Monday morning it was already in the ’90s and by the time 4:00 came around we were once again well over 100 degrees. The harp doesn’t hold up well in such high temperatures for extended periods so we left it in the much cooler trailer and headed for the capital.

The capitol grounds were deserted, not a living soul to be seen. The road that passes in front of the capitol was barricaded as were the parking areas close to the capitol building so, we parked down the road in the Bolin Memorial Park. Theresa went on a prayer walk around the capitol complex, noticing all the dryness of the trees and shrubbery these words from scripture came to her; How long O Lord, will You look the other way? How long, O Lord, will the enemy appear to have the upper hand? How long, Lord, must we wrestle with thoughts of insignificance, and hopelessness? How long, O Lord, how long?”

Shirley was drawn to the front entrance of the capitol building and began praying for righteous leadership and that those people who loved the darkness rather than the light, because their works were evil, would be exposed. (John 3:19) We eventually made our way to a shady spot of grass and spent the next hours worshipping and declaring passages from the Psalms.
Shortly after 6:00 Steve felt impressed to return to the truck only to find a 30ish young man sitting on the curb close-by our truck. Wanting to know why he was there Steve engaged the man in conversation only to be told that he, the youngish man, was waiting for him and that Steve had something for him. Not knowing what he was talking about Steve told him that he must be mistaken; that is when things turned interesting! The man demanded that Steve give him his backpack; when Steve refused, the man demanded that Steve give him the money in his backpack. When Steve said he didn’t have any money in his backpack the man demanded the keys to our truck. Not knowing how this was going to tur
n out Steve made his way to the truck, got in, and told the man if he didn’t leave him alone, he was going to call 911. The man said, “Go ahead, they won’t be able to see me.” Steve called 911 and an officer quickly responded; the situation was peaceably resolved and we left the Arizona capitol grounds.
At each state capitol, we are discerning a different manifestation of Amalek. The manifestation of Amalek we discerned for Arizona was a spirit of nonchalance. Dictionary definition from Vocabulary.com says A casual lack of concern, a relaxed state without anxiety or enthusiasm.
A very high percentage of the people we saw were wearing face masks; more so than in any other state we have been to. A mother in front of us at a check-out line in Wal-Mart was adjusting her little girl’s mask, she

couldn’t have been much more than 2, and I could hardly keep tears back as I watched the little girl nonchalantly accept her mother tightening this “thing” around her ears that was covering most of her face. Her eyes seemed so sad and listless. We didn’t understand the full impact of the spirit of “nonchalance” until we were walking around the capitol grounds and began noticing all of the petrified tree displays. Definition of petrified from The Free Dictionary.com says; To cause to lose vitality or become impervious to change; deaden.
The Viet Nam Memorial’s statute of 3 soldiers was heart-wrenching. One soldier was kneeling holding a fallen brother in his arms while the 3rd soldier was pulling on the kneeling one’s shirt sleeve urging him to flee. The look in their eyes told a story of terror, defeat, death, tragedy, conflict, and regret. As I took in what was before me, I saw us all. The fallen, the struggling, the running. If we keep holding onto the past, what is dead and gone, we will never walk in the present moment of today with the Ruach/Holy Spirit. We will never experience those Rivers of Living Water flowing out of us. (John 7:38) As the apostle, Paul says in 1Cor 9:24, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So, run that you may obtain it.”

Finding Gems in the Desert

10-day mechanical layover in Bakersfield, California

35 miles east of Mojave our forward progress to the capital of California, Sacramento, was stopped by an over-heating issue with our truck. After calls to several mechanic friends and trying various suggestions, none of which resolved the problem, we called AAA for a tow to Bakersfield. Theresa had been blessed with a premium AAA membership by a good friend and her policy allowed for both our truck and 5th wheel to be towed up to 200 miles — thankfully, we only needed 98 miles!
We were towed to Able Auto & Truck Repair, on Fruitvale Blvd, in Bakersfield, CA, by American Towing out of Barstow, CA. Some amazing prophetic symbolism became apparent along the way!
Stopped alongside the road in the middle of the desert on an over 100-degree day is not the most ideal place to be in July. Never-the-less, Yahweh had some gems for us to discover. First, the Ruach/Holy Spirit reminded us that our route, dates, times, places, and length of stays are Yahweh’s to control, we are to remember to let Him order our steps. It was good to be reminded of this as our plan was to be in the Sacramento area Wednesday night with a couple of free days to spend visiting family and friends before moving on to Nevada. Sitting in the back lot of Able Auto and Truck Repair shop has taken up those free days. “Your time is in My Hands,” Yahweh said through His Ruach to us. So, we patiently wait.
As we were waiting for the tow truck Theresa discovered a small, white rock. She picked it up and showed it to me, it was shaped like a dove. I wonder what kind of rock this is, she asked me. I told her it was quartz. Immediately she said, “The Ruach is petitioning our case in the courts of heaven.”
Armando, (which means soldier in Spanish) eventually showed up in his mammoth tow truck. When we saw him pull up in his new, shiny, white, Big Rig tow truck with lights flashing totally dwarfing our rig Theresa exclaimed, “We got an upgrade!” At that moment the words “A Power Upgrade” came into my mind. Pulling our rig up and over the Tehachapi’s into Bakersfield was effortless for that Big Rig tow truck. Armando, our soldier, what a blessing, this kind, thoughtful, and efficient man was to us! Besides Armando, our soldier, and Daniel, our mechanic, our good friends of the heart, De’Ard and Pam offered to drive us, a 6 hour round trip for them, to Bakersfield. The AAA dispatcher said that passengers were no longer allowed to ride with the driver in the tow truck due to COVID restrictions. This ended up not being the case so our friends were spared that long and hot trip, but their willingness was true friendship!
We were taken to Able Auto and Truck Repair where Daniel, the owner, let us plug into his power supply so we could have electricity in the 5th wheel and said he’d get on our truck first thing in the morning as when we arrived it was closing time. We spent a peaceful night and moved the trailer to the back lot in the morning, unhitched, and drove the truck into his shop for repairs. The first estimate, a switch for the fan that cools the engine. Quick fix! Inexpensive! A few hours later and the trouble is the truck’s computer that runs the cooling system, wow, no longer a quick fix. No longer inexpensive. Add to that brake line issues and something with the transmission. The day passes and we wait — now for parts. Maybe tomorrow… Tomorrow is Friday. “Are you still okay with Me orchestrating your schedule, routes, stops, and starts?” the Ruach asked.
The over-heating, being broken-down in a dry and thirsty land, degraded all spoke to us of the spiritual climate of the state of California. By that, I mean how Amalek is manifesting in this state. Yahweh used this break-down of our truck to test us. We all agree on that. All of this was not for Him to see how we would respond, but for us to see how we would respond to His test.
Our truck has America’s 7000 magnetic signs on the doors, printed over and under a stylized American flag. The Big Rig tow truck was American Towing in red and white with stars sprinkled around; Able Auto and Truck Repair shop also have an American flag as a logo. The message from Yahweh for us; I’m sending you to the capitols of the United States of America to speak My Word with power and authority. First, I had to break you down and take old and worn-out things from you so I could give you new and better things. I’m sending you to The Master Mechanic for repairs and upgrades. Don’t spend time looking for the upgrades, you will be changed and equipped as your journey continues.
Trust Me in this, and you will know that I AM YHVH who does these things!
