Highlights of Our First days in Israel

Neot Kedumin A calendar which lines up the Hebrew and the Gregorian months and identifies a plant specific to each month.

Neot Kedumin Steve explains the tribulum. This farm implement with rows of iron teeth attached to its underside was dragged back and forth across the harvested grain, loosing the heads of grain from the stalks. How appropriate that our word for tribulation comes from this piece of equipment.

The overlook at Elon Moreh Genesis 12:6 and 13:14-15 And YHVH said to Abram…, “Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are; northward and southward and eastward and westward; for all the land which you see, I will give to you and to your descendants forever.”
The water at the Dead Sea envelopes you like a blanket – it is impossible to sink in this sea! Just be careful not to get this very salty water in your eyes…ouch, it burns!
