“One Million Children” Campaign
As people of faith in the Almighty God, we want our children to also become people of faith. However, there are many snares and temptations that work to derail this hope for our children. Wicca, a form of occult worship, is the fastest-growing religion in the United States. This is thanks, in part, to the Environmentalist movement, “climate change” activism, and the rise of “magick” type shows on television, movies and in books.
Young people are leaving the established church in droves. A recent study by the Barna Group found that almost 60 percent of Christian young people ages 15 to 29 have distanced themselves from active involvement in the church. According to Pew Research, children as early as elementary and middle school, have doubts and questions about the Bible that are going unanswered. These young people are not getting solid answers from church leaders and parents. Here are reasons young people are giving for leaving the church:
• “Learning about evolution when I went away to college.”
• “Rational thought makes religion go out the window.”
• “Lack of any sort of scientific or specific evidence of a creator.”
• “I just realized somewhere along the line that I didn’t really believe it.”
• “I’m doing a lot more learning, studying, and kind of making decisions myself rather than listening to someone else.”
Children need a solid foundation on which to build an unshakeable belief in God. Telling them Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny are real, only later to find out they are figments of adult imagination causes children to question all stories authority figures tell them. This deception, sadly, puts our Savior, Jesus, in the same “I don’t believe you” basket. Read, “Grandma, Is Santa Claus for Real?” HERE
Join with me to help turn the tide from darkness to light. On my website, www.HarpandStory.com I am making available a case price of 24 softcover “A Child Is Born” for 50% off the listed Amazon price that is $156.00 plus shipping. Let’s put these books in places where people congregate and spend time waiting, i.e. doctor’s and dentist’s offices, laundromats, churches, nursery’s, childcare centers, libraries, Christian schools, hair salons, and other similar places, even to the children in your neighborhood. Put you or your congregation’s “who to contact” label on them so people can have a resource for more information if you so choose. Buy a case and pass them out (for free) around your town, city, or community. Make it a group project — everyone doing a little can make a big impact. Now is the perfect time as the end of the year holiday season is upon us.
A GREAT Ministry opportunity. Together let’s reach One Million children with this Gospel story!
